SkillsUSA announces $10,000.00 cash grants from Lowe’s.

Dear SkillsUSA Advisors and Administrators:

SkillsUSA is pleased to announce an immediate opportunity for SkillsUSA chapters to apply for $10,000.00 cash grants from one of our newest business partners – Lowe’s.
Lowe’s has pledged $500,000 to SkillsUSA, the majority of which will be awarded to local SkillsUSA chapters. There will be 30 of these $10,000 grants offered – 20 grants to “further the Skills USA program in the school” and 10 additional grants for SkillsUSA chapters that demonstrate “innovative/outstanding community service projects.”
In addition, chapters will be encouraged to apply for safety training seminars. Those selected to participate will be awarded free CareerSafe Online vouchers. These vouchers will allow students to earn their OSHA ten-hour General Industry or Construction Industry credential. Lowe’s commitment is to fund up to $50,000 under the OSHA training portion of the grant.
Grants will be awarded this spring! So, if you are interested in applying – or just want to learn more about how to access these dollars – go to: www.skillsusa.org/educators/lowes.shtml to receive a SkillsUSA/Lowe’s Education Grant application,
Thank you for making SkillsUSA part of your educational program, and I hope you will apply for one of these special Lowe’s grants. SkillsUSA and Lowe’s: let’s build something together!

Sincerely,
Timothy W. Lawrence
