Back on the Road Grant
SkillsUSA Advisors,
We are so thankful for Superintendent Wood’s Back on the Road Grant! SkillsUSA Georgia was given more than $230,000 to give back directly to our chapters! Every chapter who had submitted membership by April 10th for the 2021-2022 school year will receive a $1,000 credit towards your SkillsUSA Georgia account. Click here to view if your chapter is on the list of recipients. The one thousand dollars can be applied to pay for membership dues and/or state sponsored conference fees. All credits must be used by March 15th.
Each chapter is responsible for indicating if and how much of your grant you would like to be applied to membership dues or conference fees. Please follow the below directions to apply your grant monies.
Option 1:
To use your funds for membership fees, chapters must complete Student Membership Form. SkillsUSA Georgia can only apply credits to invoices of the exact students who you wish to apply your credit to. Chapters cannot submit an invoice for partial payment.
SkillsUSA GA will pay membership dues once a quarter. Please review the deadlines below to use your grant money to pay for membership dues.
Quarter 1: Oct. 15, 2022
Quarter 2: Dec. 15, 2022
Quarter 3: March 15, 2022
Option 2:
To use your funds for conference fees, chapters must complete the corresponding online form by the indicated deadline.
Champions Rally Form: Sept. 21, 2022
Elevate Form: Oct. 5, 2022
Fall Leadership Conference Form: Oct. 3, 2022
Region Championships Form: Dec. 9, 2022 (with the exception of Region 1. Region 1 deadline is Nov. 11)
State Leadership & Skills Conference Form: Feb. 8, 2023
Chapters are allowed to pick and choose what conference fee and/or membership they would like the credit to go towards. If you choose a conference fee, SkillsUSA Georgia will issue conference invoices within 48 hours of the published deadlines with your chapter’s credits applied.
No exceptions for missing deadlines will be made.
No revisions to requests will be made after the posted deadlines.
You can always view your chapter’s balance by visiting this link.
We would again like to extend a very special thank you to all of our Department of Education supporters who made this grant happen for our chapters! Thank you to Superintendent Woods, State School Board Members and Dr. Barbra Wall, Deputy Superintendent of CTAE.
