COVID-19 Protocols

SkillsUSA Georgia is continually monitoring the progression of COVID-19 and related advice from public health authorities. The State Leadership and Skills Conference guidelines and protocols are immediately superseded by any local, state or federal government policies, mandates or orders. Please follow the recommendations of your local or state government, and any federal guidelines for individual response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mask Mandate

Masks are mandated during the entirety of the State Leadership and Skills Conference. The exception to this rule is if you are eating or drinking. Though there may be some masks available on-site, SkillsUSA Georgia highly encourages you to bring your own mask to the event.

GWCC Health & Safety Protocols

The Georgia World Congress Center has done a wonderful job enhancing their health and safety protocols. Their policies can be found by clicking the button below.

Assumption of Risk: The COVID-19 virus continues to spread from person-to-person contact and other means, and people reportedly can spread the disease without showing symptoms. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death. Therefore, I realize that if I choose to participate in the in-person event, I may be exposing myself to, or increasing my risk of, contracting or spreading COVID-19, despite following safety precautions. In exchange for being allowed to participate in the in-person event, I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself, peers, or my family.
