STUDENT SUPERVISION VERIFICATION UPLOAD:
SkillsUSA requires each school chapter to have one advisor or adult chaperone for every ten students. When participating in SkillsUSA events, there must be a school employee present for each school registered. SkillsUSA requires each school to have a male and female chaperone if traveling with both male and female students. A female advisor cannot travel without a male chaperone or advisor if traveling with all male students. A male advisor cannot travel without a female chaperone or advisor if traveling with all female students. If a male or female advisor from different schools are sharing the responsibility of supervising their male and female students, each advisor must submit a letter from their school principal or CTAE director. This letter must be on school letterhead, with the principal and/or CTAE director’s signature, stating that both schools agree to the shared responsibility of supervising male and female students. Each advisor must complete the form and submit their individual letter. The letters must be submitted by the registration deadline. The upload will be labeled as Student Supervision Verification Upload. Each conference will have a link to upload the Student Supervision Verification letter.
REGISTRATION, PERSONAL AND LIABILITY RELEASE FORM:
All Registration, Personal and Liability Release forms of all conference-registered school representatives (including, but not limited to instructors, participants, chaperones and observers) will remain in the possession of the advisor at all times during the SkillsUSA Conference. Have your SkillsUSA Members participating submit this to you when they return their field trip absence form. Registration, Personal and Liability Release form here.
CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT
All contests will be judged during the Champions Rally and ribbons will be awarded to the top 10 entries in each category. The top 10 entries in each category will remain on display at the Fair. All other entries should be picked up by the advisors/students by 4:00 p.m. (any entries not picked up will be discarded). The winning top 10 entries will be posted on the SkillsUSA Georgia website.
TOP 10 PROJECT PICK-UP:
It is important that you have a plan for project pick-up. Your chapter has two options. First, you can pick up your project directly from the fair. If you plan to do this, you must let the SkillsUSA Georgia State Office know, as we pick up all projects and take them to FLC for pick up. Second, you can pick up your projects at FLC. SkillsUSA Georgia will not keep any projects that are not picked up. However, we are happy to mail your chapter their winning ribbon.
And don’t worry- we will make this reminding announcement at Rally!
