State Leadership and Skills Conference Overview

Welcome to the In Person State Conference

We are thrilled to be back IN PERSON for the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership & Skills Conference (Championships). While we are meeting in person the health and safety of our attendees remains our top priority.

Mask Policy

In order to host a safe in person event all conference attendees (and volunteers) will be required to wear a mask at all times during the conference. This includes official contests, general sessions, workshops and also while walking around at various conference buildings. Failure to comply will result in chapter disqualification from SkillsUSA Georgia Championships and will be asked to leave the conference.

Due to supply chain issues and inflation you may notice some small changes in regards to what you are used to seeing (i.e. sing) and/or consuming (i.e. swag) at SLSC.

CareerExpo Update

After careful consideration, and in the interest of keeping our students and all guests safe, SkillsUSA Georgia & the Construction Education of Georgia (CEFGA) has made the difficult decision to postpone our annual CareerExpo event (not the SkillsUSA Championships). The CareerExpo is designed as an indoor, hands-on, interactive event, usually attended by thousands of SkillsUSA members, middle and high school students, and adults outside of SkillsUSA attendees. But in our current environment there are still too many variables and challenges related to COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our guests.

Observer Policy

As organizers, we are excited about getting back to the Georgia World Congress Center and hosting a limited number of students and teachers at the SkillsUSA Georgia’s State Leadership and Skills Conference. No student observers will be allowed to register this year for SLSC. We also view this as a first step back to the full SkillsUSA State Championships and CareerExpo that we’ve all grown to love over the years. Our goal and our hope is that we will be back to our full event in 2023. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.
