Welcome to the 2020-2021 Virtual Region Championships!
On October 15, 2020, SkillsUSA Georgia released our guidance for the 2021 State Leadership and Skills Conference. As a part of the State Leadership and Skills Conference Continuity Plan, SkillsUSA Georgia also announced that all region championships for the 2020-2021 school year would take place in a 100% virtual format. Please carefully read the information below, as several procedures, deadlines and contest details have changed.

All region championships information will be housed on this page for all regions for the 2020-2021 School Year. Please carefully read the information below and direct any questions to the SkillsUSA Customer Care Team.

Region Dates and Deadlines:
Registration Deadline: December 11
No late registration allowed, no exceptions
Advisors should register for the event on SkillsUSA Register. Due to the virtual nature of the event, SkillsUSA Georgia
will not invoice advisors for and advisor registration fee.
Region Submission Deadline: January 11
Region Virtual Live Contests: January 11
Region Testing Day: January 11
Region Results Released: January 15
Payment Deadline: January 6
Fees & Costs:
Chapter Fee: $25/chapter
The contests below will be the only contests for 2020-2021 that will be required to qualify at the region level in order to advance to the State Leadership & Skills Conference. All unlisted contests will compete at the State Leadership & Skills Conference.
Virtual Live platforms will vary from region to region. Your region chair will reach out directly to you after registration closes by December 16th with all the information you will need to make these accommodations.
Updated Virtual Technical Standards will be released on December 1
*Broadcast News Production prompt will be released on December 11
Top 2 from each region advance to the State Leadership and Skills Conference EXCEPT Auto Service Technology (pending partner decision), Broadcast News (top 16 statewide), Teamworks (top 10 statewide), and Welding Fabrication (top 8 statewide).
All region contests are limited to one student per school, per contest
Student must be submitted SkillsUSA Georgia member
Virtual Clothing Requirements:
SkillsUSA has updated each contest Technical Standards with Virtual Clothing Requirements. Please review each tech standard to see updated clothing requirements.
COVID-19 Positive Special Circumstance:
SkillsUSA Georgia recognizes that the ever changing environment in which our students learn, live and compete may necessitate some special circumstances. SkillsUSA Georgia will grant special circumstance waivers to students who are COVID-19 positive or quarantined on the January 11 region competition day.
