All region championships information will be housed on this page for all regions for the 2020-2021 School Year. Please carefully read the information below and direct any questions to the SkillsUSA Customer Care Team.

Help us assess the technological capabilities of our schools by completing the form below!

Region Dates and Deadlines:

Registration Deadline: December 11

Payment Deadline: January 6

Region Submission Deadline: January 19, by 5:00 pm  

Region Virtual Live Contests: January 20

Region Testing Day: January 11th - 19th

Fees & Costs:

Students: $10ea

Chapter Fee: $25/chapter

​

Contest List:

The contests below will be the only contests for 2020-2021 that will be required to qualify at the region level in order to advance to the State Leadership & Skills Conference. All unlisted contests will compete at the State Leadership & Skills Conference. 

 

Virtual Live platforms will vary from region to region. Your region chair will reach out directly to you after registration closes by December 16th with all the information you will need to make these accommodations. 

​

One student per school (with the exception of teams) is allowed to register for the region contests. 

​

*Broadcast News Production prompt will be released on December 11

Advancement:

Top 2 from each region advance to the State Leadership and Skills Conference (including Auto Service Technology and Broadcast News in which the top 16 across the state will advance to state) EXCEPT Teamworks (top 10 statewide), and Welding Fabrication (top 8 statewide).

Contest Eligibility:

All region contests are limited to one student per school, per contest 

Student must be submitted SkillsUSA Georgia member

​

Virtual Clothing Requirements:

SkillsUSA has updated each contest Technical Standards with Virtual Clothing Requirements. Please review each tech standard to see updated clothing requirements. 

​

COVID-19 Positive Special Circumstance:

SkillsUSA Georgia recognizes that the ever changing environment in which our students learn, live and compete may necessitate some special circumstances. SkillsUSA Georgia will grant special circumstance waivers to students who are COVID-19 positive or quarantined on the January 11 region competition day. Please see the form below for more information:
