Jennica “JP” Watson serves as the SkillsUSA Georgia State Officer Coach, bringing years of experience and a lifelong passion for student leadership and career and technical education. Her SkillsUSA journey began as a ninth-grade competitor and culminated in serving as the SkillsUSA Georgia State President during her senior year of high school.

Following graduation, JP joined the SkillsUSA Georgia state staff, where she has continued to invest in developing student leaders. She is passionate about helping students discover their potential, build confidence, and become the best versions of themselves through the classroom, SkillsUSA, and beyond.

As State Officer Coach, JP enjoys mentoring students through one of the most transformative years of their lives. Watching state officers grow in their leadership, professionalism, and commitment to service is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role.

Currently attending Middle Georgia State University where she is majoring in Secondary Education - Mathematics

Watching the state officers positively impact the SkillsUSA Georgia members. Whether they’re simply wishing a competitor good luck, encouraging a chapter to apply for CEP, or reassuring a member that their dream of being a state officer is well within reach, it is such a reflection of their passion and care for serving SkillsUSA Georgia members.

Fall Leadership Conference because over the course of three days, we see so many members from all over the state take their leadership skills and knowledge of SkillsUSA to the next level. I love the homey camp feel, and it is when I think the most personal growth happened for me as a student that led me to run for a state officer position.
