Joey Baker serves as the Event Production Manager for SkillsUSA Georgia, supporting the production and execution of the association's major statewide events, including Champion's Rally, Fall Leadership Conference, and the State Leadership & Skills Conference. In his role, Joey supports general session production, facilitator preparation and coaching, delegate session management, and the many details that come together to create engaging and memorable experiences for SkillsUSA students, advisors, and guests.

Joey has supported SkillsUSA Georgia since 2013 and brings more than a decade of experience in Career and Technical Education, workforce development, and SkillsUSA leadership. Throughout his career, he has served in leadership roles at the state and national levels, including Executive Director of SkillsUSA Missouri, Supervisor of Skilled Technical Sciences for the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, and Senior Manager of Education Programs for SkillsUSA's national organization. He has also served as National Director of Education and Workforce Development for the Independent Electrical Contractors association. Joey also currently serves as the Executive Director of SkillsUSA Iowa.

Across each of these roles, Joey has remained passionate about creating opportunities for students to develop technical skills, leadership abilities, and confidence. His work with SkillsUSA Georgia allows him to combine that experience with his love of events and production, helping create the moments on stage and behind the scenes that make SkillsUSA experiences memorable.

Joey believes some of the most meaningful moments at SkillsUSA happen when students step onto a stage, take on a leadership role, or accomplish something they never thought they could do. He enjoys being part of the team behind those moments and helping create events that students will remember long after they leave the conference.
