SkillsUSA Georgia does not allow late registration for competitors under any circumstance. Please help us by registering for all events on time!

Payment must be received by SkillsUSA Georgia prior to SLSC. 

Credit card payments are accepted and a link will be provided in your invoice. SkillsUSA Georgia does not pass along any processing fees.

How to Register

Advisors will register their students and themselves through the SkillsUSA Georgia Register site. All students and advisors must be registered SkillsUSA members in order to register for SLSC. No Late registration allowed. Registration Steps

STEP1  

Log onto www.skillsusa-register.org to register your chapter for the State Leadership & Skills Conference.

STEP 2  

You will enter your email address and the password. If you did not previously create a password, then you can do so on the site by following the instructions listed.

STEP 3  

After you have logged in, click on the CONFERENCE tab at the top of the page and click on MY REGISTRATIONS from the drop-down box.

​

STEP 4  

From the FILTER EVENT drop down box choose the appropriate conference 

(State Leadership and Skills Conference).

STEP 5  

Begin registering your chapter by clicking on the ADD REGISTRANT button at the top of the page. 

​

STEP 6  

For each contestant, click on the “Contest” tab at the bottom of the page to enter the correct contest.

STEP 7 

Enter Voting Delegates as Observers. 

​

STEP 8  

Each participant will complete the form titled: Registration, Personal and Liability Release Form

​

STEP 9  

Continue to add new registrants and save them until everyone from your chapter has been registered.

​

STEP 10 

PLEASE ensure the following:

         a.  Each contestant's name is spelled correctly. 

         b.  Each attendee is a registered SkillsUSA member. 

         c.  Each attendee MUST enter a personal email address.

STEP 11  

On-line registration will close at 5:00 p.m. on January 23, 2024. Payment is expected for all participants that are registered by the payment deadline.

STEP 12  

Absolutely no refunds will be granted after the close of registration.

How to Register

Substitutions will not be allowed after the registration deadline. For emergency situations, please contact the Executive Director at admin@skillsusageorgia.org

​

  • An emergency situation could include, but is not limited to: 

    • Death in the family ​

    • A student transferring schools 

    • Sick student (must provide doctor's note or positive COVID/Flu test) 

​

  • Non-permissible situations include, but are not limited to: 

    • Student no-show 

    • Transportation issues​

    • School activities conflict 

    • Family vacations

How to Complete the Hotel Planner

Once you have completed registering all your attendees, you MUST complete the HOTEL PLANNER portion of the registration. Hotel Planner Instructions

  1.  Click on the HOTEL PLANNER button at the top of the page.

  2. Click on each of your registered members and drag and drop them into an available appropriate hotel room.

  3. Rooms must be either all female or all male. (This step allows you to determine which students are housed together.)

  4. BE CAREFUL- Make sure that you use single and double rooms appropriately. 

 

There is now a commuter option in the Hotel Planner. Please drag and drop attendees in the commuter section. In order to be approved for commuting, the school principal must submit a letter to SkillsUSA Georgia indicating that the school is within the 25 mile radius and that the chapter will be commuting and not staying in another hotel property. No exceptions will be made for outside the 25 mile radius. Each chapter that is within the 25 mile radius must pay the $50 commuting fee.

Hotels will be assigned after SLSC registration closes. You will receive an email informing you of which hotel you have been assigned to. 

Adult Guest Pass

The SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership & Skills Conference events are open to all paid, registered members of the conference. Only the events listed below are open to the public and require a pass to attend. The pass only includes entry, no meal ticket, t-shirt, or any other SLSC conference materials will be provided. 

  • Opening General Session

  • Career Competition 

  • Career Expo 

  • Awards Ceremony 

 

Advisors and chaperones should be registered with their chapter. Parents and/or guests will register with the link provided to advisors. Registration cost is $25. The guest name badge will be placed in the school registration packet. It will be up to the chapter to disperse the name tag to the individual guest. There are no refunds for Adult Guest Pass purchases.

Assurance Form and Advisor Code of Conduct 

  • ​Every advisor is responsible for uploading the Assurance Form and the Advisor Code of Conduct by the designated published date. 

​

  • Assurance forms cannot be signed electronically. 

    • Print a copy of the assurance form (one form per advisor)

    • Print a copy of the advisor code of conduct (one form per advisor)

    • Each advisor must sign and date the assurance form and advisor code of conduct 

    • Each form must be signed by a school administrator 

    • Scan the assurance form and advisor code of conduct and proceed to upload both forms in the below upload location

Proctor Form

Proctors must submit the proctor form.

Student Supervision Verification Letter

SkillsUSA requires each school chapter to have one advisor or adult chaperone for every ten students. When participating in SkillsUSA events, there must be a school employee present for each school registered. SkillsUSA requires each school to have a male and female chaperone if traveling with both male and female students. A female advisor cannot travel without a male chaperone or advisor if traveling with all male students. A male advisor cannot travel without a female chaperone or advisor if traveling with all female students. If a male or female advisor from different schools are sharing the responsibility of supervising their male and female students, each advisor must submit a letter from their school principal or CTAE director. This letter must be on school letterhead, with the principal and/or CTAE director’s signature, stating that both schools agree to the shared responsibility of supervising male and female students. Each advisor must complete the form and submit their individual letter. The letters must be submitted by the registration deadline. The upload will be labeled as Student Supervision Verification Upload. Each conference will have a link to upload the Student Supervision Verification letter.

Hotel Transportation Form

All schools must complete the Hotel/Transportation Form. Deadline to complete is January 23, 2024. 

Registration, Personal and Liability Release Form  

All Registration, Personal and Liability Release forms of all conference-registered school representatives (including, but not limited to instructors, participants, chaperones and observers) will remain in the possession of the advisor at all times during the SkillsUSA Conference. Have your SkillsUSA Members participating submit this to you when  they return their field trip absence form.
